An African Stock Exchange
The idea has been mooted before but there has always been a lot of issues around foreign exchange regulations and controls - but the idea of an African Stock Exchange still seems like a reasonable idea for the continent.
The continent provides an intriguing investment case - high risk and high reward. We’re resource rich at both mining and oil and we have high growth sectors such as IT, Pharmaceutical and Telecomms across the continent.
By developing a platform from which development capital could be pumped into regions such as Nigerian and hopefully Zimbabwe there could be plenty of opportunity to develop the continent.
